By Jay Hunter – Just the past weekend Netflix and Marvel teamed up to release some of the biggest news to come out of San Diego Comic-Con. Marvels upcoming slate on the streaming platform is set to release Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. The question remained for a lot of people though, when are we going to see Jessica Jones and Daredevil again?
During the summer TCA press tour, Netflix boss Ted Sarandos was asked when viewers could see more solo adventures starring the two hero’s. Unfortunately for fans of those series, Sarandos stated that Netflix is sticking to two seasons per year for Marvel and both 2017 slots will be taken up by Iron Fist and The Defenders.
Whilst the news that we wont get to see Daredevil or Jessica Jones solo adventures until at least 2018 is bound to disappoint a lot of people, fans can take solace that we will see the duo in The Defenders 13 episode season.
Regarding the much anticipated Punisher series, Sarandos only had this to say;
Is Jon Bernthal in Marvel’s Defenders? “Stay tuned,” Ted Sarandos says. #TCA16
