Jared Leto has also spoke about his desire to appear in Justice League and the Batman solo movie

By Beth McConnell For good or bad, Suicide Squad has taken over the world in the last two weeks. From dominating the analytics for Comic-Con weekend to being critically panned. Even Suicide Squad’s creator got involved. The one thing that most people can agree on though, is that Jared Leto’s portrayal of The Joker was one of the movies saving graces, he’s gone on record to talk about how many scenes were cut, but he’s not only campaigning for an R-Rated cut of the movie, he’s also campaigning for his own standalone Joker movie!

Speaking to NME earlier this week, when asked about a possible solo movie, Leto responded by saying;

“Yes, I think that would be great to dive in deeper to the Joker and expand the story and to learn a bit more about this sick and twisted but lovely strange man. And yes, I’d like to see a little more Joker in Suicide Squad too. We shot so much footage. There are so many scenes that are not in the film. I haven’t seen the movie yet so I don’t know exactly what’s been cut out or not, but I do understand that it’s a bit of an introduction to the Joker now, it’s a bit more of a supporting part than maybe it could have been if they used everything. But they have a method to their madness.”

As many fans have now come to realise, The Joker was used sparingly in the Suicide Squad movie itself, so many cinema goers will be clambering to see more of the Clown Prince of Crime. However, with Leto also throwing his hat into the Justice League and the Batman solo movie, W
