By Beth McConnell Since 2013’s Evil Dead, Fede Alvez has been on the lips of horror fans and critics alike. Achieving critical and fan acclaim for a horror remake is no easy feat, especially one based on a movie as beloved as Sam Raimi’s 1983 classic. The Uruguayan director has been largely off the radar since, however we won’t have to wait much longer for his sophomore effort Don’t Breathe.

The movie will follow star Jane Levy as Rocky, a teenage delinquent living with neglectful parents. When she promises her younger sister that they will start their own lives together and move away from their dysfunctional family. She looks for the right amount of cash to run away with in order to do so, her boyfriend, Money played by Daniel Zovatto (Fear the Walking Dead), convinces her to break into the home of a blind man who supposedly has a safe in the basement. Breaking into the house in the middle of the night with their friend Alex, they discover that the blind man is not as helpless as he seems.
