“Everyone is expecting it to be devastating, and it is. It’s a rough, rough exit, you know?”

Will the show follow the same path as the comics?“Eeny, meeny, mine, moe”

By Jay Hunter With just over eight weeks to go until The Walking Dead’s season seven premiere, marketing for televisions most popular show has begun to escalate. Of course, the biggest question going into season seven is THAT season six cliffhanger, for months now everyone and their walker has been talking about their theories on who met their end at the hands of Negan and his bat, Lucille.

The only thing that can be sure at this point is that it’s not going to be an easy watch as actor Ross Marquand, who plays Alexandria dweller, Aaron, confirmed whilst talking to Popsugar:

“Everyone is expecting it to be devastating, and it is. It’s a rough, rough exit, you know? That being said, I think it’s a great episode, too. I think it’s an episode that people will watch and talk about for years to come, honestly.”

Marquand went on to say that watching one of his co-stars meet their end was an uncomfortable experience:

“It was not fun. None of us were having a great time during those scenes. For people in the audience, sitting at home on their couches watching it, they’re going to be feeling all the feelings that we felt. It was an absolute loss of someone that we really care a lot about. We say this time and time again, but it’s not just a TV show for us — it’s a family. When you lose a family member, it’s extraordinarily difficult. We felt that death was like losing someone that you really care about.”

From a purely business point-of-view, the likes of Rick, Daryl and Glenn SHOULD be safe, considering their fan-favourites and a backlash against the show could potentially ensue, but we’ve been wrong before.
