“F*ck ’em”

Leto was one of the more positive things about the movie

By Jay Hunter Although it may be all good for Suicide Squad on the financial front, it’s critical shortcomings are well documented. However, that may not be Warner Bro’s biggest problem, it seems Jared Leto, who plays The Joker in the movie is extremely unhappy with the studio and the project itself.

Over the weekend, Leto attended a Q&A session entitled Camp Mars, in relation to his band 30 Seconds to Mars. Whilst no quotes are available, Batman-News shed some light on a Tumblr post that described what Leto had to say about Suicide Squad. Obviously, an unverified Tumblr account should never be taken as gospel, but here’s what the report had to say:

“He was very honest about the film this weekend; his disappointment in what he’s learned of the theatrical cut (he’s still not seen the film); feeling sort of tricked into being a part of something that had been pitched to him very differently; thinking it would’ve been more artistic than what it became; feeling overwhelmed by the hate regarding the look and choices…”

Whilst it’s doubtful, Leto would publicly trash the movie, it does coincide with earlier verified quotes in which he said many of his scenes were cut from the movie.

It remains to be seen as to whether or not Leto could in fact walk from the franchise, as of course many studios will tie down their bigger stars to multiple movie contracts. But in response to the studio being worried about him rock climbing he simply said “F*ck ’em” (see below)
