Some fans even speculate Rick was killed at the hands of Negan and LucilleThe biggest question since ‘Who shot J.R?’

By Jay Hunter Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) is set to change The Walking Dead universe this coming October, when he kills off a fan-favourite in the opening episode. Whilst we recently covered the fan frustration behind last seasons cliffhanger, the antagonist has recently stated that fans will wish the cliffhanger “never ended” whilst speaking to Comic Book:

“I can’t stress enough that if you were one of those people who were like, ‘Oh, f***ing cliffhanger,’ you’re going to be really wishing that the cliffhanger had never ended after the first episode back. So, be careful what you wish for.”

The actor has also revealed that he is in “full on villain” mode for the series, and expects to stick around for “a few years”. So don’t be expecting Rick (if he’s alive) and co to get rid of him any time soon.

Despite all of the despicable things he’s doing on the show, Morgan went on to say how much he is enjoying the experience:

“This has been an extraordinary experience being on The Walking Dead this year. This role in particular is probably the hardest, most fun time, all-in-one, can’t sleep craziness.”

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 23rd, 2016.
