Jedi holy planet, Jedah to feature in movie
By Jay Hunter – The Rogue One news is coming thick and fast on the run up to the Star Wars spinoff’s release. Gareth Edwards recently revealed that we’ll be learning a lot more about the force, including a new Holy planet for force believers, named Jedha.
As far as we know, Jedi and lovers of the force travel to the planet for pilgrimages as the planet is known for a specific material (hopefully not midichlorians). In the movie Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) is said to travel their to recruit a specific member for her team.
A report rom StarWars.com had this to say:
A small desert moon frosted by a permanent winter, Jedha is home to one of the first civilizations to explore the nature of the Force. At one time a world important to the Jedi Order, Jedha serves as a holy site for pilgrims from across the galaxy who seek spiritual guidance. Now, the Empire occupies Jedha, and a prolonged battle between Imperial forces and scattered Rebels carries on in the timeworn streets.
Fans will of course hope that not too much is revealed about the force, as it’s mystery and ethereal nature is what has endeared the concept to many fans.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will hit cinemas December 16th, 2016.
