By Beth McConnell – The Dark Tower is a movie that many people are anticipating in 2017, the movie adaptation of Stephen King’s novel will not only have book fans excited, but with the likes of Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba attached to star, it will have more mainstream eyes on it also.

The newest dark tower image was shared by Tom Taylor, who will be playing Jake Chambers in the movie, a young boy who exists on Earth but can also venture to the ‘mid-word’ where the majority of Dark Tower will take place. The new image seems to show Taylor in-between those two worlds, you can check it out below:

Whilst we’ve already gotten a look at numerous promotional photos for the movie (see below), we’re yet to see any actual movie footage. But if reports are to be believed, that will all change this October.

Established website, Entertainment Weekly will be running an event from October 29th – 30th entitled Popfest, where they have revealed that they will be unveiling our first look at the movie. It’s yet to be confirmed as to whether or not this will be a full length trailer, or just a teaser. However, with the movie set for a February release, it would be a safe bet that we will get a rather lengthy look at the movie, four months before it’s release.

Here’s to hoping the footage is also released online simultaneously and not an event exclusive.

The Dark Tower is scheduled to open in U.S. theatres on February 17, 2017.
