Daniel Radcliffe last played Harry Potter in 2011
By Jay Hunter – It seems Warner Bros aren’t ready to let go of their Harry Potter super-franchise yet. Which is understandable, as after it grossed billions upon billions of dollars at the box-office, it moved to the stage with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to continue to break records. This hasn’t gone unnoticed by the movie studio, it’s clear that Harry Potter is still an insanely popular property and after they release Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them this November, they will be looking to bring the West-End play to the big screen.
A report by NY Daily News has announced Warner Bros are in talks to turn Harry Potter and the Cursed Child into a movie. The studio are aiming for a release as early as 2020, but the news that will put Potter fans into a frenzy every where, is that Daniel Radcliffe is in talks to return.
Of course, Radcliffe is famous the world over for bringing the title role to life, and although he has had success since leaving the series with performances on Broadway and The Woman In Black he has yet to reach the heights he had whilst playing The Boy Who Lived.
The play focuses on Harry, Ron and Hermione navigating through adult life and whilst it was met with mixed responses from Potter enthusiasts, seeing the trio return to the big screen would simply be too good to resist for many fans.
